Chopper Spins Wildly into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Coast
An aircraft hovering over a well-attended California coastline abruptly began spiraling wildly, finally dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers observed.
Recordings posted on social media capture the chopper beginning to twirl above the shoreline then descending towards the border of the shore, where it gets stuck among palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were taken to hospital comprising two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the crash on the weekend.
Three people on the road were injured. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
